Leslie serves as the Director of Southside Women’s Ministries, seeing her role as more of a team captain and enthusiastic cheerleader. She loves championing the women of Southside to find the best place for them to serve God. She especially appreciates those women with gifts for hospitality, crafts, and finances.
Before joining the team at SUMC, Leslie spent over a decade working as a prosecutor and magistrate judge in Georgia. Upon moving to Jacksonville in 2014, Leslie and her family discovered SUMC and have been members since the first Sunday of January 2015. Leslie also writes women’s fiction with strong elements of romantic comedy. As a native of St. Simons Island, Leslie knew the natural beauty of the Golden Isles and South Georgia would be the perfect setting for her stories. Add in some Southern charm, a dash of humor, and a heavy dose of romance and she found the right ingredients for her brand of books and flash fiction. Looking for a new book? Leslie and her husband, Carlton, have been married nearly twenty years and have three children, Libby, Kirby, and Charlie.
