COME AS YOU ARE
Walking into a new church can be intimidating at times. Please know that even though we have a contemporary and a traditional service, there is no "dress code".
We believe that God doesn't expect us to clean ourselves up before we come to Him and His church; so we say, come as you are.
HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT
Both the 9 AM contemporary and 11 AM traditional worship service usually lasts around 60 minutes and includes worship through music, the preaching of God's Word, prayer, and a time of offering. We celebrate communion on the 1st Sunday of the month.
We offer nursery for infants through age three. Children are invited to stay in worship with parents or attend Children's Church.

We strive to help you feel welcomed and comfortable. Please visit our CONNECT Hub on Sundays located in the front and back of the church. A member of our Welcome Team will help answer your questions.
We also invite you to come to Starting Points, a 4-week small gathering where you can learn more about Southside and what we believe.

We have a very simple mission here at Southside United Methodist Church. We are a community that seeks to build the family of God into faithful disciples of Jesus Christ to reach the world.
Building The Family of God
The Bible is not only the blueprint on how we should live our lives but it is the active Word of God. We strongly believe that if we follow the Word that we will grow stronger as a community, and close to God. This is what it means to build God's family.
Becoming Faithful Disciples of Christ
God has set forth a path for us to follow through His son, Jesus. It is our small group mission to learn about Him and how he lead his disciples so that we can know how we should live today. We know that we all fall short of the glory of God and sometimes the path of Christ is difficult, but we pray and work everyday to do our very best.
Reaching the world through missions
As long as we love one another we will grow stronger as a community of believers. We believe that God has called us to reach out and share His truth and grace with those around us- across the street and across the globe. We are actively involved in local mission efforts and partner with mission organizations and churches internationally as well. We continue to seek ways to reach the lost and broken, and extend grace.
