Wednesday, February 23
6:00 pm Opening Night Dinner/Celebration
Join us dinner as we introduce our guest speaker Reverend Guillermo Mighthy
Dinner is free but a $5 suggestion donation.
Friday, February 25
6:00 pm Healing Prayer Service
Join us Friday, February 25th at 6:00 pm in the Southside Chapel for a Healing Service. We welcome you to join our Missions Celebration guest Pastor Guillermo, Pastor Philip and the intercessory prayer team for a worship and prayer service. Some of the details are still being worked out.
We welcome healing for physical, emotional, relationships and other caring needs. Make plans to join us for this special time of prayer and fellowship.
Saturday, February 26
10:00 am Mixed Bouquet "Kentucky Derby" Luncheon and Fundraiser
Every year the women at SUMC put on a themed fundraiser to raise funds for missions as well as enjoy fellowship with one another.
This year's Kentucy Derby will feature classes, lunch, and the favorite silent auction. $25 a person

12:00 pm BBQ Lunch takeaway from the Boy Scout Troop 35
**Boy Scout Troop 35 will be selling their world famous BBQ lunch to go for $10 with dessert to take home or picnic on the point

Rev. Guillermo León Mighthy
Rev. Guillermo León Mighty, district superintendent of the Havana District of the Methodist Church of Cuba, and his wife Adria Nuñez Ortiz co-pastor Havana Central Methodist Church, a vibrant, Holy Spirit-filled church. In the 12 years that they have been appointed there, the urban church has grown from 80 to 920 members. They focus on reaching those in their community, bringing people out of drug addiction, prostitution, and gangs.
