Southside UMC COVID-19 Update

Due to COVID-19, Southside UMC is not having any on-campus worship services, programs or events for the remainder of March. Our staff is continuously monitoring the situation and will provide updates as soon as they become available. Although we can't gather in person at this time, we know the church moves far beyond the church building.

SUMC will be hosting online Sunday Service at 9:00AM until further notice. You can view the services right here on our website or on SUMC's Facebook or YouTube page. Additionally, our ministry leaders will be providing study resources, devotionals and more during this period of remote ministry so that you can continue to grow in your faith and lean on God.

We hope you'll remain faithful in your generosity by giving onlineOur online giving allows you to give a one time gift or set up recurring gifts.

March 22 Sunday Service

March 22 Children's Church

It's our desire to make known the good news of God's love within our own congregation as well as outside the walls in our community. We encourage individuals to show their love for The Lord and for one another through worship and community service.

Our doors are open to everyone.  Our members build relationships with Jesus Christ and each other through small groups, volunteer activities, worship services and Bible Study. We welcome all individuals seeking God’s love.

Our 9am contemporary service is a casual atmosphere.  The 11am service is traditional in format and sequence. The lead pastor preaches for both services. All Sunday worship services are in the Sanctuary.

Student Ministry

Our mission is to lead middle and high school students in our community into relationship with Jesus Christ. As students grow in faith, we challenge them to boldly step into the purpose God has for their lives. We believe students have the power to impact the world for the name of Jesus. It is our privilege as a church to lead and guide them as they do. As God changes the lives of our students, our prayer is that He'll use our students to change lives in our community.

Children & Family Ministry

Our mission is to equip the children at our church with a growing faith in Jesus Christ and a heart to share His love with others. By partnering with parents, we want to teach children about the life-changing love of Christ and how it applies to their lives right now—no matter how old they are! It's our hope that children will not only grasp the message of God's love for themselves, but understand how important it is to share that message with those around them as well.

Small Groups

Our mission for small group ministry is to develop communities of faith committed to learning, growing, and serving together. We  believe that God has not called us to advance His kingdom alone, but rather, to do so in community. By joining our members together in small groups and classes, we are partnering them with one another to push each other on to faith in Christ as well as work together to make new disciples in our community.
