Below we have a list of all of the ministries that we offer here at Southside United Methodist Church. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible when joining one of our ministry programs. We believe that engaging in fellowship is a very important tool when growing to be more like Jesus. The encouragment of others is a powerful thing.

Children's Ministry

Our mission is to equip children with a growing faith in Jesus Christ and a heart to share His love with others. By partnering with parents, we want to teach children about the love of Christ and how it applies to their lives right now! It's our hope that children will  grasp the message of God's love for themselves and know how important it is to share that message with others.

Prayer Ministry

We believe in the power of prayer.  In addition to being a community that prays as part of our weekly gatherings, we have a dedicated prayer ministry team.  The team meets weekly to pray over the prayer concerns of our church and prays for our city, country, and all the nations of the world.  You are welcome to join them any or every week for prayer.

Life Groups

Life Groups provide an opportunity for adults or youth to come together and have a chance to join in fellowship with one another. We have groups for men, women, students, moms, multi-generational, and co-ed.  Some groups have a study focus while others are missional in nature.  We look forward to having you with us!

Women's Ministry

The goal of our women's ministry is to bring women together in groups to grow in faith and work to reach the community for Christ. As they grow in knowledge of Scripture and how Christ is at work in their own lives, our prayer is that they would share the love of Jesus with their friends, families, and the world.

Men's Ministry

Southside Men is the discipleship ministry for men at Southside UMC. Our philosophy of men's ministry is pretty simple. We believe men are transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the inside out and, in turn, that permeates every sphere of life, including family, business and recreation.

Student Ministry

Our mission is to lead middle and high school students in our community into relationship with Jesus Christ. As students grow in faith by participating in small groups, missions, and outreach opportunities, we want to challenge them to boldly step into the plan and purpose God has for their lives.

We have a strong team here at Southside. With a combined 20 years of ministry between the three we are excited to reach out into the community.
