Our HAPI Partnership

In 2012, Southside United Methodist Church began a partnership with Hendricks Avenue
Elementary School to work together to improve the academic performance, social condition and emotional well-being of the students served.

This partnership provides:

  • tutoring assistance
  • clothing and school supplies
  • teacher encouragement
  • after-school enrichment classes.

Sponsor an Angel Tree Family

Realizing that the holidays can be challenging for families in difficult economic situations, one of our first efforts was offering assistance to families in need during the holiday season. We are excited to continue our “Angel Tree” for the 10th year this Christmas, providing students and their families with a Christmas meal and holiday packages of children’s clothing and a gift.

If you wish to help provide for the Angel Tree gifts and meals, please click here. If you would like to make a monetary donation in support of Angel Tree, click here.  If you have questions, please contact Angie Cosper at (904) 962-4352 or a.cosper@southsidemethodist.org or Michelle Wright, Southside UMC Angel Tree Coordinator, at (904)536-3799 or mwright611@hotmail.com.

All families participating in the Angel Tree program will be contacted with information about distribution of meals, clothes and gifts. Please know that we care about all Hendricks students and their families and pray that this partnership will continue to bear much fruit in the months and years to come. Should you have any questions or need further information, please contact Kate Hurst through the HAE school front office or Angie Cosper, Director of Children’s Ministries at Southside UMC, (904) 962-4352.
